Walk to the Hill and Campaign Success!

Looney & Grossman LLP attorneys joined 700 colleagues for the 13th annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid. Because of the attorneys' collective efforts, the legislature passed and the Governor signed a $1 million supplemental appropriation for MLAC this fiscal year. This funding will help legal services programs retain staff they would otherwise have to lay off in FY12. Forty-eight firm teams particpated in the 2012 Walk, including 18 Managing Partners, who conducted more than 300 legislative visits to urge increased funding for the civil legal aid line item.
